![]() ![]() ![]() The Arts are just as important for anyone regardless of where they’re at in education, and if ANYTHING has taught us that, it’s Quarantine 2020. Especially when they say “oh it’s okay, not everyone has the ability to do _” when a kid isn’t good at drawing or playing an instrument, but the SECOND a kid underperforms in math or science or even history, those same people belittle kids into thinking that they’re dumb or that they’re not “applying” themselves enough. It frustrates me beyond words when people do not support a young person’s dream to be a performer or a writer or anything else deemed “unrealistic “ or “unreliable” as a career. Heck, I write stories for fun and published a book so I could launch a career doing something “creative” for the rest of my life if I wanted! I was in choir, I was in theater, I love music and movies and tv shows that (mostly) break my heart but make me laugh & love them. This “debate” gets me fired up, because my life is HEAVILY influenced by the arts. Once Part 2 is available, I will link it back to this post, where you’ll be able to find it by clicking here.) (Side note: Today’s prompt post is going to be Part 1 of 2, due to the content discussed (maybe even 1 of 3, depending on if I can find a related essay I wrote in college). Since I’d rather focus on positive vibes more right now, I’ll stick with: PERFORMING ARTS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT (if not more) THAN NONCREATIVE SUBJECTS. Oh gosh, where to even begin?!? There are like two or three really good topics to use for today’s prompt. And dang, you look good today! ❤️ĭAY 10: WRITE ABOUT SOMETHING FOR WHICH YOU FEEL STRONGLY FOR. Before I get to today’s prompt, I just want to remind you that you are more than enough, you are not a burden, and if you haven’t heard it in a while… I am so freaking PROUD of you.
